Big Lots Stores - 4.4 terabytes of DASD spelled big disk
capacity management woes for Big Lots. Optimizing DASD was nearly impossible.
New disk was added every three to six months, and backup and IPL times

Finning International - Finning, one of the largest heavy equipment dealers in the world, moved off a Bull mainframe onto an AS/400. Finning’s IT department quickly found out how fast disk space was consumed and performance became degraded. Several attempts were made to manage DASD but none of them worked. Finning then tried S4i DASD-Plus and immediately, disk space was reclaimed from several output queues and message queues.
